Suba South MP Caroli Omondi has raised serious allegations regarding the outcome of the recent Malava parliamentary by-election, claiming that the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) did not legitimately win the seat.
Speaking to the media, Omondi revealed that he has evidence suggesting widespread ballot stuffing and irregularities during the voting process. He argued that these alleged malpractices may have influenced the final results, calling into question the integrity and fairness of the election.
“I have concrete evidence that the election was compromised through ballot stuffing and manipulation,” said Caroli Omondi. “The people of Malava deserve a transparent process, and this matter must be investigated thoroughly.”
The claims have sparked intense debate among political analysts and local leaders, with some advocating for an independent audit of the election results. Civil society organizations have also called for a transparent review to ensure that the voters’ will is respected.

The Malava by-election was held to fill the parliamentary seat left vacant after the death of Hon. Moses Malulu Ijendi ono February 17, 2025.
According to official results released by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), the UDA candidate was declared the winner. However, Omondi’s allegations have raised questions about the legitimacy of the outcome.
