Hundreds of mourners, family members and political leaders gathered at Malinya Grounds in Ikolomani Constituency, Kakamega County, on Friday for the funeral of Gloria Khalwale, the wife of Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
The funeral service brought together leaders from across the country, friends, relatives and local residents who gathered to pay their final respects to Gloria.
Among the leaders attending the ceremony were Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka and Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga, alongside other political leaders.
The funeral service is being conducted by the Catholic Church, with mourners joining the Khalwale family in celebrating Gloria’s life and offering support to the bereaved family.
Gloria died suddenly on August 15 after suffering a heart attack. Her death came as a shock to her family, friends and the wider political community.
The funeral at Malinya Grounds marks the final farewell to Gloria, as the Khalwale family and mourners remember her life and legacy.
