The Turkana County Government has approved the Nakoyo-Kare Eregae road project in Turkana West Sub-County following a technical inspection that found the contractor had delivered the planned works.

The inspection was conducted on October 26, 2026, by a technical team from the county’s Department of Roads, led by Roads Inspector David Ekuwam and Engineer Amodoi Emmanuel.

The team assessed the 15-kilometre road stretch in the presence of the contractor and representatives from the county’s finance department.

According to the inspection team, the contractor had completed heavy bush clearing, surface grading and the erection of two signposts to mark the road area, in line with the project’s scope of work.
