President Ruto has said the government is investing heavily in the education sector as part of efforts to secure a better future for Kenya’s young people.
Speaking during the 46th KDF pass-out parade at the Defence Forces Recruits Training School in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Ruto said the country’s progress depends on its human capital, making investment in education and training a national priority.
“The single most critical asset we have as a nation is our human capital. And that is the reason why we are investing huge resources in education, the training of the children of Kenya. And it is the reason why we are hiring more teachers, expanding learning spaces, developing a new model for university education, making sure that we have hostels and dormitories so that we can give the best opportunity for the young people of Kenya to be their best,” he said.
The President said the government was planning for the future by investing in measures aimed at preparing and safeguarding the next generation.

“And the way to ensure that the people of the nation of Kenya are well prepared is through education, training, and college. Therefore, work hard and do your part. I want to assure you, your parents, and the government of Kenya that we will do our part.”
Ruto said the government would continue employing more teachers, expanding learning spaces and implementing a new model for university funding.
He also highlighted plans to improve student accommodation by ensuring the availability of hostels and dormitories to provide young Kenyans with better opportunities to pursue their education.
The President said the investments were part of the government’s broader efforts to equip young people with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the country’s development.
