SEVILLE, Spain — Real Betis strengthen their position inside La Liga's top four after beating Osasina 5-2 at Estadion La Cartuja, extending their home winning streak in the Spanish league to seven matches.

Betis started aggressively and took the lead after 10 minutes when Rodrigo Riquelme was brought down in the penalty area by Unai Santos. Isco converted the resulting penalty, sending goalkeeper Aitor Fernandez the wrong way.
The hosts continued to apply pressure, and their advantage grew after Santos lost possession under pressure from Isco around the half-hour mark.
Cucho Hernandez played the ball through for Abde Ezzalzouli, who finished past Fernandez to make it 2-0.
Betis appeared to move further out of reach when a free-kick from Isco was flicked on by Cucho Hernandez and deflected off Diogo Llorente and Osasuna striker Ante Budimir before entering the net as an own goal.

Budimir responded by scoring at the other end, finishing after a deflection off Hector Bellerin helped Raul Garcia create the opportunity.
Osasuna then reduced the deficit further when Alejandro Catena sent the ball across goal following a corner that Betis failed to clear. Garcia converted at the far post to make it 3-2.
The visitors had revived hopes of a comeback, but Betis soon restored their two-goal cushion.
Isco scored his second goal of the match around the 75th minute after a series of rebounds inside the Osasuna penalty area.
The goal followed a video assistant referee review of a possible foul by Natan on Ruben Garcia during the build-up. The goal was allowed to stand.
The brace marked Isco's first two-goal performance since February 2025, according to the supplied match report.
Betis continued to threaten as Osasuna struggled to contain their attacking movement.

Morante Seals Five-Goal Victory

Betis completed the scoring in the sixth minute of added time when debutant Jose Morante fired into the net from near the edge of the penalty area.
Hector Bellerin supplied the through-ball that set up the finish, sealing a 5-2 victory for the hosts.
The result extended Betis' strong home run and left them six points clear inside the league's top four.
Osasuna, meanwhile, suffered another difficult away result, having lost eight of their previous 11 away league matches during the period cited in the report.

The emphatic victory gives Betis momentum ahead of their next match against Porto on Wednesday.

The Spanish side will also take confidence from their recent record against Osasuna, having lost just one of their last 17 league meetings with the club.

For Osasuna, the defeat highlighted defensive weaknesses that will need attention as they seek to improve their away form.
