Harambee Stars forward Ryan Ogam has completed a season-long loan move to Belgian second-tier side RFC Liège from Austrian Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC, with the agreement including an option to make the transfer permanent.

The 21-year-old Kenyan striker successfully underwent a medical on Saturday, July 11, 2026, before signing his contract and officially sealing the move.

Confirming the transfer, RFC Liège announced that Ogam had joined the club on a loan deal with an option to buy.

“Ryan Ogam is our new striker. The 21-year-old Kenya international joins the Sang & Marine on a loan deal with an option to purchase from Austria’s Wolfsberger AC,” the club announced.

RFC Liège Back Ogam to Strengthen Squad

The Belgian club described Ogam as an exciting addition to the squad and their second signing of the summer transfer window.

“Ryan Ogam developed his football in Kenya before making a name for himself at Tusker FC, earning a move to the Austrian league. A left-footed forward capable of playing both through the middle and on the wings, he has already earned several appearances and scored eight goals for the Kenya national team. We welcome Ryan to the club and wish him every success in our colours,” the club added.

European Journey Continues

Ogam earned his move to Europe after impressive performances during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), attracting interest from clubs abroad before eventually signing for Wolfsberger AC in September 2025.

Despite the promising move, the Kenyan international found first-team opportunities limited in Austria, making just one senior appearance as a substitute in a 3-1 league win over Grazer AK.

In November 2025, he was loaned to Wolfsberger AC II, where he regained confidence and form, scoring four goals in nine appearances.

Fresh Opportunity in Belgium

The move to RFC Liège presents a valuable opportunity for the young striker to secure regular playing time and continue his development in European football.

With the Belgian club competing in a highly competitive environment, Ogam will be hoping to make an immediate impact and strengthen his chances of becoming a key player for both club and country.
