LODWAR, Turkana– The Speaker of the Turkana County Assembly Rt. Hon. Charles Lokiyoto has formally notified the House of the nomination of Hon. Lawrence Lopayo, MCA for Lokiriama/Lorengippi Ward, to the Speaker’s panel in accordance with Standing Order 19 (3).
The nomination follows a communication from Lobokat Ward MCA Hon. Samwel Aliwo, who has expressed his intention to step down from the Panel, citing provisions under Standing Order 20 (2).
The Speaker’s Panel, established under Standing Order 19, consists of three members tasked with presiding over Committees of the whole Assembly and performing additional duties as assigned under the Standing Orders.
