Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura has been honoured with the prestigious Christina Hackman Impact Leadership International Award in Ghana.
Mwaura received the global recognition for his efforts in advancing social justice, inclsive communication, and disability advocay.
Recognised for Inclusion and Social Justice
The award was presented at the CHIL International Awards event organised by Here for Perfection (H4P), a non-governmental organisation committed to promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
Interestingly, Mwaura had attended the event as an international Chief guest to support the initiative, only to be surprised as one of the award recipients.
Speaking after receiving the award, Mwaura expressed gratitude, saying the recognition strengthens his resolve to champion inclusivity.

“I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. It reaffirms my commitment to advancing social justice and ensuring that persons with disabilities are fully included in all aspects of society,” he said.
He added that the award symbolises collective efforts toward equality.
“This award is not just mine; it belongs to every individual and organisation working tirelessly to promote inclusion and equality,” he said.
Dedication to Children with Disabilities
Mwaura also thanked the organisers, including H4P founder Charles Cofie Hackman and event coordinator Dolly Armah, for their dedication to advancing disability rights.
He dedicated the award to children in Kenya born with disabilities, praising their resilience and calling for a more inclusive society.
“I dedicate the award to children in Kenya born with disabilities, whose resilience continues to inspire to build a more inclusive and compassionate society,” he said.
